Around Here

We have been busy around here lately. The kids are growing fast and things are always changing at our house. 

Two weeks ago I made a cake for a Relief Society activity. I was pretty proud of it.  It was my first cake and it won the cake off between the RS presidency (I was recently called as 1st counselor in our ward RS).

 

 

We often go to the library for story time. Isaac loves going there. The little girls in the story group don't love him being there so much. Isaac likes to tug on their skirts.

 

Now that the weather has gotten warmer, we have been getting out of the house more often. Rebecca's favorite thing at the park is the swing.

 

Rebecca is terrified of loud noises. She has to get somewhere safe and plug her ears when I vaccum. Ikey obviously doesn't mind the vaccum.

 

Taking walks in the neighborhood is our favorite. 

This week was the cub scout's Pinewood Derby (a car racing activity). I made these fun brownies as a treat.

 



Here is Rebeca finally getting a close look at the horses that live by our church building.



We love it when daddy is able to come along for our walk.

 

I got Rebecca these ear protectors to help her deal with her fear of loud noises. Here she is looking happy while daddy mows the lawn.



In a few days I will post pictures of the birthday party we had for Ikey yesterday.

10 Years

At the beginning of the month Caleb and I celebrated ten years of marriage. It's so great to see the little family we created in these years. We are so happy and excited to know that this is just the beginning. Here's to eternity!

Standing

I found Ikey standing against this chair a couple of weeks ago. Now he is standing against all of our furniture and moving around. I bet he will be walking by the end of the year.

He loves the freedom to stand and move around.

Hair

I love it when Rebecca does her own hair in the morning.

Ikey does his own hair too.

Just some pictures of what has been going on around here.

Halloween

We had a great time this year dressing up as the cast of Tangled, Rebecca's favorite movie. Rebecca was so excited she even agreed to wear the wig.

Noises

Rebecca doesn't like noises. If the noise is loud she puts her hands up to her ears and asks to be held. This is the reason I haven't vacuumed my house in months. If the noise is not too loud then she just closes her eyes and makes weird faces. This is what she looks like when I try to take pictures. I have to take about ten pictures before she calms down and her face relaxes a bit.
