Getting Away

This is where Ollie goes to get away from Rebecca and still be comfortable. Rebecca is learning to be gentle, but in the meantime, she likes to pull his fur pretty hard.

Esse é o lugar que o Ollie achou para fugir da Rebecca. Ela está aprendendo a ser gentil, mas por enquanto ela ainda puxa o pêlo dele bem forte de vez em quando.

Work in Progress

After failing many times to upload the little video montage I put together for Father's Day, I decided to move on with other blog posts.
I have been busy lately working on some projects around the house. I enjoy working on these things, but between Rebecca and these projects there is little time for much else. Here are the befores and I'll show the afters soon.

Projetos

Como não consegui carregar o vídeo que montei para o dia dos pais, resolvi continuar postando outras coisas. Ultimamente tenho feito vários projetos aqui em casa. Entre esses projetos e a Rebecca não sobrae muito tempo para outras coisas, mas eu me divirto. Essas são algumas fotos do “antes” e depois eu mostro as fotos do “depois”.

Hide and Seek

I have learned that if I don't know where Rebecca is this is where I should look for her. As you can imagine, this is one of my least favorite places for her to play in.





Eu já aprendi que quando não sei onde a Rebecca está devo procurá-la aqui. Como vocês podem imaginar, esse não é meu lugar preferido para ela brincar.

These pictures of Rebecca were taken by a young woman in our ward named Megan. I think both Megan and the pictures are pretty great.









Essas fotos foram tiradas por uma moça da nossa ala que se chama Megan. Nós gostamos muito das fotos e da Megan.

Shoes, shoes, shoes

I don't know how many shoes a one year old generally has, but it's probably safe to assume that Becca has more shoes than most. I've always loved to buy shoes for myself and now I enjoy buying shoes for Rebecca just as much. I always get them on sale or clearance so at $3 a pair it doesn't really hurt the bank much.

The first picture features the shoes and the second one just shows what it's like to try and take pictures while Rebecca is around. That little hand reaches for anything that she's asked not to touch.





Eu não sei quantos sapatos uma criança de um ano tem mas é provável que a Rebecca tenha mais que a maioria. Eu sempre gostei de comprar sapatos pra mim e agora eu gosto de comprar sapatos para a Rebecca ainda mais. Como sempre os compro em liquidação, pagar $3 pelo par não é tão mal.

A primeira foto é dos sapatos e a segunda é só pra mostrar o que acontece quando eu tento tirar fotos com a Rebecca por perto. Aquela mãozinha tenta pegar qualquer coisa que eu peço pra ela não pegar.

Child Play

I was folding laundry today when Becca started to steal some clothes. She always takes the laundry I'm trying to fold and spreads it around the house. She took a shirt and put it around her neck and walked away. It looked like a little cape. I offered to tuck it into the back of her shirt. After I did she walked around so proud. So cute!









Brincadeira de criança

Eu estava dobrando roupa hoje quando a Rebecca começou a roubar umas roupas. Ela sempre pega as roupas que estou tentando dobrar e espalha pela casa. Ela pegou uma camiseta minha e colocou no pescoço. Parecia uma capa. Eu ofereci pra colocar a camiseta embaixo da camiseta dela e ela saíu andando tão orgulhosa. Que linda!

Cousins

The last video I posted of Rebecca and her cousin Bailey made me think about her cousin in Brazil. Rebecca has really enjoyed her older cousins and they have taken great care of her.

On our last trip to Brazil Catarina met Rebecca for the first time. Catarina was a bit jealous of Rebecca but she also enjoyed helping taking care of her.






Primas

O último vídeo que postei da Rebecca me lembrou das fotos que eu tenho da Rebecca com a Catarina, a priminha brasileira dela. Rebecca gosta muito dos primos e primas mais velhos dela.

Na nossa viagem pro Brasil a Catarina conheceu a Rebecca pela primeira vez. Catarina ficou com um pouco de ciúmes da Rebecca mas ela também gostou bastante de cuidar dela.
